Drawing Beyblade stuff is always a nice experience I'm not following the new seasons, they kind of ruined the 'spirit' of the first ones and they're not interesting to me.
So, about the picture: I was asked to do a battle between Max and Mariam, and while my first thought was to make a beybattle, during the sketch I got into a more fantasy theme, drawing armors and weapons instead of beyblades. Then I thought it would have been cool if their Bit Beast were portrayed as armors instead as in their animal form...And this came out I always loved Mariam's Shark but its colour pattern kind of bothered me, so I decided to use her beyblade colours for her outfit. As for Max, well, he's American so why not giving him a surfer impression? and yes, shoes. Because why not? You never surfed with shoes?! Then you're not doing it the extreme way!
Also, it was my first time doing waves and it was a living hell but I actually ended up to enjoy the background and now I really want to draw more waves to improve.
